Are my videos uploaded to your server?
No. The video is read and compressed by your browser on your device. We have no server that receives files, so we cannot see them.
Why doesn’t my video fit even after compression?
Every second of video needs some data. A long video with a small limit leaves too little per second. Trim the video, lower the resolution or pick a plan with a bigger limit.
Which formats are supported?
MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV are processed with your browser’s fast built-in encoder. AVI, WMV, FLV and other older formats work in compatibility mode.
Is there a limit on the original file size?
Only your device’s memory. Phones handle a few gigabytes; computers handle more.
Why is compression slower on my phone?
The work happens on your device, so speed depends on its processor. Recent phones use the hardware video encoder and are fast; older ones take longer.
How do I choose the quality myself?
Open “Advanced settings”. Each value shows whether it was chosen automatically, and the expected size updates as you change it.
What does the quality rating mean?
It estimates how sharp the result will look, based on how much data each pixel gets and the output resolution.
Is it really free? Is there a watermark?
