iCloud Mail accepts files up to 20 MB. If your video is bigger, SelfKit shrinks it right in your browser so it fits — as sharp as the limit allows.
iCloud Mail file size limits

| iCloud Mail | All accounts | 20 MB | ≈ 14.6 MB | Compress |
How to send a video on iCloud Mail
- 1
Choose your video above — iCloud Mail is already selected.
- 2
If you have a paid iCloud Mail plan, pick it to use the bigger limit.
- 3
Press “Compress video” and download the result.
- 4
Upload it to iCloud Mail as usual.
Common problems
- The upload is rejected as too large
- Compress the video with the iCloud Mail preset: the result is always checked against the limit.
- The video looks blurry
- A long video in a small limit gets little data per second. Trim it to the important part first or pick a bigger plan.
- The video does not play
- SelfKit always saves MP4 (H.264) — it plays on every phone and computer.
